Please review these Terms & Conditions before booking a KeyDrop Ontario service. By submitting and confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms applicable to the service.
1. Service Description
KeyDrop Ontario provides customer vehicle pickup and delivery services. An authorized driver picks up and operates the customer’s own vehicle and drives it to a pre-arranged dealership, mechanic, or automotive service centre. Where return service is included in the booking, the vehicle may be returned to the customer after the scheduled service is completed.
KeyDrop Ontario does not perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, bodywork, towing, vehicle sales, or vehicle storage as part of this service.
2. Customer Authorization
By confirming a booking, the customer confirms that they are the vehicle owner or have authority to authorize KeyDrop Ontario to take temporary possession of and operate the vehicle for the booked service.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is legally permitted to be driven, appropriately plated and insured, and in a condition suitable for the booked trip.
3. Service Appointments
The customer is responsible for arranging and confirming the appointment with the dealership, mechanic, or automotive service centre before the scheduled KeyDrop pickup.
KeyDrop Ontario is not responsible for the automotive services, repairs, pricing, workmanship, delays, or decisions of the dealership, mechanic, or other third-party service provider.
4. Pickup and Vehicle Handoff
Customers must provide accurate pickup, destination, vehicle, appointment, and contact information.
Vehicle pickup and delivery details may be documented as part of the handoff process. Customers must follow the booking verification and vehicle handoff procedures provided for their booking.
5. Pricing and Additional Charges
The applicable service price will be presented during the booking process before the customer confirms the booking. Pricing may depend on factors such as distance, one-way or round-trip service, waiting time, and additional services requested by the customer.
Applicable taxes and any clearly disclosed additional charges will be added where required.
5a. Third-Party Service Providers and Payment
Any dealership, mechanic, tire shop, oil-change facility, or other automotive service provider is an independent third party. KeyDrop Ontario charges the customer only for KeyDrop Ontario’s vehicle pickup and delivery service and approved KeyDrop add-ons.
The customer is solely responsible for paying the service provider directly for all repair, maintenance, parts, labour, diagnostic, dealership, shop, and other third-party charges. KeyDrop Ontario does not determine, approve, negotiate, collect, hold, advance, reimburse, or process those charges, and does not process them through KeyDrop Ontario’s payment provider.
KeyDrop Ontario drivers are not permitted to pay, advance, or arrange payment of a customer’s repair or service invoice, and are not permitted to accept cash from a customer on a service provider’s behalf.
Where return service is included, KeyDrop Ontario can collect the vehicle only once the service provider has confirmed that the vehicle is ready and authorized for release. If the service provider will not release the vehicle — including where payment or authorization is still outstanding — the return trip is delayed until release is authorized. The booking remains open, and KeyDrop Ontario is not responsible for delays caused by unpaid or unauthorized third-party charges.
6. Delays and Appointment Changes
Pickup and delivery times may be affected by traffic, weather, dealership or service-centre delays, and other circumstances outside KeyDrop Ontario’s reasonable control.
Customers should contact KeyDrop Ontario as soon as possible if their service appointment, pickup location, destination, or other booking information changes.
7. Insurance and Responsibility
KeyDrop Ontario maintains insurance coverage applicable to its customer vehicle pickup and delivery operations when such coverage is in force.
Any responsibility for loss or damage is determined according to the circumstances of the incident, applicable law, and applicable insurance coverage. Nothing on this page should be interpreted as a guarantee that every type of loss, damage, or circumstance is covered.
8. Customer Belongings
Customers should remove valuables and important personal belongings from the vehicle before pickup. KeyDrop Ontario should be informed of any special circumstances relevant to safely handling the vehicle.
9. Booking Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information when making a booking. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in delays or inability to complete the requested service.
10. Contact
Questions regarding a booking or these Terms & Conditions should be directed to KeyDrop Ontario using the contact information provided on the Contact page.
