Question 1

What is KeyDrop Ontario?

Accepted Answer

KeyDrop Ontario is a vehicle pickup and delivery driving service. We collect your own vehicle from your home or workplace, drive it to the automotive service appointment you have already arranged, and bring it back when Round-Trip service is booked.

Question 2

Do you tow my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

No. KeyDrop Ontario never tows and never loads vehicles onto trucks or trailers. An authorized driver drives your own vehicle to your pre-arranged appointment.

Question 3

Can I ride along with the driver?

Accepted Answer

No. KeyDrop Ontario does not pick up or transport passengers. We drive your vehicle only — you will need to make your own travel arrangements while your vehicle is with us.

Question 4

Who drives my car?

Accepted Answer

A licensed, authorized KeyDrop Ontario driver assigned to your booking. You receive the driver details before pickup.

Question 5

What authorization do you need?

Accepted Answer

You confirm, in writing during booking, that you own or are authorized to release the vehicle and that you authorize our driver to operate it for the booked trip.

Question 6

Do you book the service appointment for me?

Accepted Answer

No. Your dealership, mechanic or service centre appointment must already be arranged. We handle the drive only.

Question 7

Can you bring my vehicle back?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when return service is booked. We return the vehicle to your agreed location once the service facility confirms it is ready.

Question 8

Where can you take my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

To any dealership, mechanic, tire shop, oil change location or automotive service centre within our service area, at the address you provide during booking.

Question 9

What is the difference between One-Way and Round-Trip?

Accepted Answer

One-Way means we pick up your vehicle and deliver it to your scheduled appointment. Round-Trip means we also return later — after the service is completed and the service centre confirms your vehicle is ready — and drive it back to you. Our driver does not wait at the service centre during the work.

Question 10

How does the vehicle handoff work?

Accepted Answer

You (or your authorized representative) meet the assigned driver at the pickup location. The driver confirms your 4-digit pickup PIN, then records the pickup date and time, vehicle make and model, licence plate, odometer reading, fuel level, optional photos and any notes. Delivery is recorded the same way.

Question 11

How can I track my booking?

Accepted Answer

Enter your booking number on the Tracking page to see your trip status. Live GPS map movement is only shown when a driver is actively sharing location and the mapping provider is connected — otherwise you see Trip Status Tracking updates only.

Question 12

How will I know who my driver is?

Accepted Answer

Once a driver is assigned, your booking shows the driver's first name, photo (when provided), your booking number and the scheduled pickup time. Always verify your KeyDrop driver before handing over your keys.

Question 13

What happens if my appointment takes longer than expected?

Accepted Answer

For Round-Trip bookings, the return drive happens once the service centre confirms your vehicle is ready, so a longer service does not mean a driver is waiting on site. If timing changes significantly, contact us and we will arrange the return.

Question 14

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Accepted Answer

Yes — contact us as early as possible. How changes and cancellations are handled is described in our Cancellation Policy, which you acknowledge before confirming a booking.

Question 15

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

One-Way service starts at $29.99 and Round-Trip service starts at $49.99, with additional distance charged at $1.50 per kilometre beyond the distance included in your service price. Applicable taxes and your total are shown before you confirm your booking.

Question 16

How is my personal information protected?

Accepted Answer

Your contact details, address, vehicle information and pickup PIN are only used to carry out your booking. Your pickup PIN is never published, and booking details are not shown to other customers. See our Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

Question 17

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. KeyDrop Ontario maintains commercial insurance coverage for its customer vehicle pickup and delivery operations. Coverage applies in accordance with the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions of the applicable insurance policy. If you have a specific insurance question about your booking, please contact us.

Question 18

Do I pay the dealership or mechanic through KeyDrop?

Accepted Answer

No. Your KeyDrop payment covers KeyDrop Ontario's vehicle pickup and delivery service only. Repair, maintenance, parts, labour, diagnostic and other service-provider charges are paid by you directly to your dealership, mechanic or service provider. KeyDrop Ontario does not determine, approve, collect or process your service provider's invoice.

Question 19

What if my dealership requires payment before releasing my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

You arrange that payment directly with them. KeyDrop can begin the return pickup only once your vehicle is confirmed ready and authorized for release. If your driver arrives and the vehicle is not released, your booking stays open and we contact you so it can be arranged.

Question 20

Can my KeyDrop driver pay my repair bill for me?

Accepted Answer

No. KeyDrop drivers are never permitted to pay, advance or arrange payment of a customer's repair or service invoice, and cannot accept cash for a service provider.

Question 21

Where do you operate?

Accepted Answer

Mississauga and the surrounding GTA. Trips beyond the core service area are quoted individually.
